Saúl González Claros – My Story

About me, I will say that I worked as an intern and lawyer while I was finishing my degree, during the master’s degree to become a member of the Bar association and once I took the state training test for the lawyer profession. My credentials and experience can be found below and on Linkedin. However, although I have worked for others, I have always wanted to work for myself. My first opportunity arose some time before the Covid pandemic. A year before I started to set up an office focused on foreign clients in Barcelona, with an executive of a French Private Bank Javier Palomino Sánchez. It was a good opportunity to learn and to join a promising project. This project led me to participate in high quality work as a lawyer and to work with clients and companies in Spain, France, Dubai, Cyprus, etc.

About my experience I will say that it has been varied, since mainly what we did was to accompany clients with high purchasing power, in their companies, life and acquisitions in Spain. Mostly foreign clients, who wanted to simplify and have a single interlocutor for their business. Among many things, I have done international contracts, business consulting, labor, tax and real estate issues. From all this experience I learned that real estate work, combined the business, tax and contractual part, without forgetting the gratification of helping a client.

All this, was before and during the Covid-19 pandemic, unfortunately the project suffered a lot as it was launched just before the pandemic, ending in 2021. This allowed me time to reflect and start preparing one of my current projects, accompanying foreign customers in their purchases first in Spain and later in southern Europe. The reasons are diverse, the first one is that according to my experience the foreign client almost always suffers at the moment of buying a property in Spain. Another reason is that, apart from working with companies, helping private clients offers a lot of gratification. Especially when they realize how necessary your work as a lawyer is.

Finally, I would like to say that this is not the only project I have in mind, nor do I want to focus only on assisting private clients. I am also interested in other branches of law and I will be happy to advise any client or refer them to a colleague if I deem it appropriate.

This means that at all times the professional relationship will be regulated by contract. A bilingual contract (order sheet), binding and binding, that will reflect your needs and rights. Payments will be made by wire transfer or any other way that leaves legal proof for your security, including the obligatory taxes for each case. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE & COLLEGIALITY

I began my law studies at the University of Barcelona (UB), in person, finishing them at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), while I was recovering from an illness. At the end of my university studies, I completed postgraduate studies for the practice of law in Spain, at the prestigious business and law school ISDE (Instituto Superior de Derecho y Economía). Finally, in Spain, in order to practice law in Spain you must be a member of a Bar association, for which I am a member of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB).
